For Solicitors

Although a Commercial Property Standard Enquiries form exists (the ‘CPSE’ form), which acts as a check list of questions covering capital allowances, previously many answers were left as “n/a” or ambiguous (one of our favourites was “There are no capital allowances available so this section will not be answered”).

Rules in relation to Capital Allowances for property sales since April 2012/2014 have significantly changed. Please contact us to discuss this directly.

You may have been told there is a two year deadline in which to claim following a property purchase.  However, this is not always the case.  Please contact us to discuss.

If not immediately, by April 2014, conveyancing solicitors are increasingly likely to be held for the duty to advise on Capital Allowances, exposing solicitors to claims from clients who may have missed out on capital allowance claims. We are happy to assist with Capital Allowance surveys for solicitors and their clients, and also offer split invoicing solutions and a negotiation service between buyers and sellers.  Our aim is to assist both parties to the transaction in achieving the optimum tax benefits.

Solicitors looking for a Capital Allowances Fee Quote, please contact us directly.
